Can I have something personalised?
Yes. Engraving is available on most pieces. Add the names, date or message in the personalisation box on the product page and Paul will check the wording and layout with you before he makes it.
Can I choose a different wood?
Many pieces can be made in any of our 17 woods, from English oak and ash to olive, padauk and zebrano, and other timbers can be sourced on request. See our woods.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
Not exactly, and that's what makes it yours. The grain, knots and colour of every piece of wood are different, so each item is unique.
Can you make something that isn't in the shop?
Yes, bespoke work is the heart of the business. Send a description, photo or sketch through the enquiry form. Bespoke pieces are made in English oak, and Paul can email you 3D images of the design to approve before he starts.
Do you make guitars?
Yes. Paul builds custom electric guitars to order, with the body shape, woods, pickups and finish chosen with you. See custom electric guitars.
Why do some items say "Ask for a quote"?
Bespoke benches, garden furniture and signs are made to measure, so the price depends on the size and wording. Bespoke pieces are made in English oak. Send an enquiry and Paul will come back with a price.
Can I collect my order?
Yes, free of charge from the workshop at Unit 12 Johnston House, Laundry Loke, North Walsham NR28 0BX. Choose collection at checkout and Paul will let you know when it's ready.
Do you repair or restore wooden items?
Yes. Paul offers a repair and restoration service and professional advice on design, repairs and maintenance. Send a photo of the piece.
Are the boards safe for food?
Kitchen boards are made in line with food-safe standards. Hand wash, dry straight away and oil occasionally to keep them in good condition.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, in £5, £10 and £20 values. Buy a gift voucher.
Do you work with businesses?
Yes: corporate gifts, signage, and CNC routing and turning for patterns and production runs. See bespoke & B2B.
Can I see your work in person?
Paul shows at craft fairs and events through the year, including with the Two Rivers' Artists on the Broads, and you can visit the workshop by arrangement. Call 07771 950 911.
